We recently returned from leading a fantastic group through the land of the Bible. They were up for everything we threw at them and engaged this intense study trip with everything they had - thirsting ever for more. We hiked, and studied, and tasted, and listened, and saw, and ENGAGED with everything we had.
It was my dream for many years, and has become reality, to lead Biblical STUDY trips to the land of the Bible. I do not lead tours. I am not a tour guide. I am a teacher and these trips are for students. Students of all ages and backgrounds.
These trips are for passionate seekers who are ready to see the black and white words of the Text come to life in the full-color landscapes where words were first lived, then written. Together we travel back in time as we engage the culture, history, and language of the Bible in its original setting, seeking to understand each passage as if part of the original audience. Western perspectives, foreign to the original culture of the Bible, fade away as we learn to see the stories through the lense of those who lived them. So many of these stories were written to audiences with a very different frame of reference, and we learn to ask new questions, to see with new eyes, to let old stories become entirely new again with even greater impact.

This trip was extra special as it was the first time we got to take our son, Samuel Evan, to the land. Though the normal photographer (my wife) was unable to join us some days (due to the unique jetlag needs of our infant son), we do have some photos from the days they were able to be with us.
Check out the images below for a few special glimpses into the remarkable journey we shared together.

Our goal is not only to bring people to the land of the Bible, but to bring the land of the Bible to people - and this is a great way for others to share in this incredible experience!
